Linkin Park Continue To Confuse Fans With Announcement

Linkin Park has now said the announcement will come on September 5th. “Be part of something. September 5th. LinkinPark.com,” the band wrote on their social media accounts.

When the countdown hit 00:00:00, it started counting up again. Some fans saw a glitch at 00:09:05, leading them to think the news might be on September 5th.

There are speculations that the band might reunite with a new singer for shows in 2025. Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley was rumored to be the new singer after teasing his own announcement on Wednesday, but he denied it. “I am not joining Oasis… or Linkin Park. Or any other band for that matter,” he wrote.

Lzzy Hale shared a cover of Linkin Park’s ‘Crawling’ on Instagram. It also fueled the rumors of a new singer, but Hale herself hasn’t responded yet.

In addition, members of the official fan club Linkin Park Underground have reportedly been emailed about an event in Los Angeles happening on the same day as the announcement. The event is exclusive to LPU members and it’s set to take place from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. local time.

Linkin Park hasn’t toured since their singer Chester Bennington passed away in July 2017. They did a tribute show that fall, but haven’t played any concerts since then.
