Queens of the Stone Age are canceling more European tour dates amid Josh Homme's health battle. The decision comes after it was announced earlier this month that the frontman "must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery."

"Due to continued medical care, it is under doctors’ orders that Josh Homme remain in their care in the United States," the new statement reads. "The Homme family and QOTSA are so grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and kind understanding during this time."

As Homme recovers, Jack White has been tapped to fill in for several festival dates including Øya Festival in Norway, Way Out West in Sweden, and Syd For Solen in Denmark. Homme's health condition has yet to be revealed.

QOTSA are scheduled to play a handful of US dates with The Kills in September and October. See their latest announcement and list of US tour dates below.
