Mark Hoppus Hints at New Project During iHeartRadio ALTer EGO Interview

On Saturday (January 19), twenty one pilots, The Killers, Muse, Weezer, Rise Against, The Revivalistsand the first-ever female headliner Bishop Briggs all took the stage at The Forum in Los Angeles for iHeartRadio's ALTer EGO 2019. And though there were so many epic moments onstage, we also got to hear from blink-182's Mark Hoppus.

Though his band wasn't playing the event, the singer/guitarist was being a good dad and took his kids to see TOP.

“Not only am I a good dad, but I’m a good friend to Josh [Dun] from twenty one pilots for coming down and supporting him,” he told LiveXLive's Hannah Rad and ALT 98.7's Woody.

The radio personality then said he heard Mark has a new project coming out.

“I do, yes,” Hoppus replied before jovially scolding Woody for bringing it up. “I’m not at liberty to talk about it tonight. But you will find out about it very soon. Yes, you’re right—you’re not supposed to say something yet!”

Although he was tight-lipped about the mystery project, Mark was happy to give fans an update on what his main squeeze, blink-182, has been up to.

“blink is in the studio right now writing our next record,” he divulged. “Very excited about that. And we are planning some live shows that are going to be announced very soon. So blink is still in full-blast mode.”
